Member Technician Lead - Rental Bay - North Riverside, IL

The Member Attendant Lead is responsible for assisting customers with the use of Auto Repair Equipment, Tools, maintenance questions, and oversees the safety regulations of the DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Bays. The Member Attendant Lead will be responsible for local marketing efforts and communication to local businesses.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Runs the operation of lifts and assists with showing how to use other mechanical automotive tools
Ensures the bay is stocked with the correct tools, parts, safety equipment, etc., before and after a customer rents a bay
Follows the safety guidelines for operating the equipment and utilizing the tools
Ensures customers are following the safety guidelines while using the bay and proper use of the tools
Knowledgeable on auto repairs and can answer questions on how to fix and maintain the customer's vehicle
Looks continuously for methods to improve business performance and enhance the customer experience, as well as opportunities at gaining more business for the rental bay
Communicates and visits with local businesses as needed to promote the rental bay and reports back to the Auto Center Manager
Serves as back-up for Automotive Service repairs to be completed per Technician classification in Auto Center
Communicates with Auto Center Manager, Customer Service Adviser and other Technicians to meet Sears Automotive time standards and to exceed customer requirements
Adheres strictly to Sears Automotive Dress Code standards
Racks vehicle safely following Sears Automotive training
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
Walk through documentation with customer to ensure all rules, regulations, and liabilities are reviewed and signed by every customer
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Ability to perform accurate diagnosis and repair of customer products, including communication of diagnosis and needed repairs of products to the customer in a knowledgeable and courteous manner
Ability to select and safely use basic tools or instruments to assemble, adjust, calibrate, repair, or test various products; including knowledge of basic electrical principles
Ability to work variable and flexible hours, including extended workdays of up to 10 hours, weekends and nights as necessary
Ability to work around gas and oil products within the Environmental Protection Agency and Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines
Education Experience: HS Graduate or Equivalent
Years of Related Experience: 1-2 Years
Driver's License Required: Yes
Travel Requirements: 25%
Age Requirement: 18+

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
