Data Center Project Management (Infrastructure Facilities)

Job Description:
Leidos Heath currently has an opening for a Data Center Facility Project Manager to work at our client's site in Hines, IL. This is an opportunity to use your experience supporting the Information Operations Services Support (IOSS) mission. Under this mission, we support the overall mission of the Veterans Administration. Leidos is the Prime Contractor under IOSS Program. The Project Manager will be directly supporting the VA-HITC Space Management site manager/coordinator, which is within the VA Facilities group (ITRM).
Duties/responsibilities will include:? ? Supporting: Office relocations/moves within HITC
New arrivals in office assignment and space/desk preparation
Room preparations for VA events (Town halls, all-hands meeting, special celebrations, etc.)
Remodeling and/or re-purposing office areas
Direct interaction with clients
Assist/support the Space Management manager/coordinator by:
o Gathering requirements from the requesting client
o Providing market research, according to specifications
o Provide estimated project schedules on assigned tasks
o Researching possible solutions and options, as assigned
o Gather/provide required information to Space Management for the development of acquisition package
o Analyze and comment on designs
o Validation of shipments and deliveries of materials ordered for projects
o Confirm work completed was done according to specifications and is satisfactory
o Observe office construction and report any concerns (materials incorrect, safety issue, not to specifications, etc.) to the facilities site manager? o Prepare reports, on a regular basis, to leadership (site and national)? o Track current use and assigned location of personnel at the site, as well as other specifics
o Process roll-on/off documents related to personnel or contractor changes and done so confidentially
o Satisfy data call requests, as assigned; includes gathering requested information, organizing and providing in the specified format
o Coordinate entities, internal and external moves as assigned
o Create, open and/or handle tickets in Service Now related to Space Management (request, change and incident tickets)? o Must be proficient in MS software products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and Visio, as well as SharePoint and Service Now? o Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills? o Must have excellent customer service skills and operate with an extremely high level of confidentiality? o Must be able to maintain their composure when involved with a difficult situation (or person)Additional
Criteria: -Background in move coordination within a data center facility-Complete and process move coordination worksheets-Complete and submit change orders-Maintain Excel spreadsheet to track status-Proficient in MS software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and Visio, as well as Sharepoint)-Prepare weekly status reports in PDF format for leadership-Self-motivated and assertive-Ability to set priorities and adapt to changes in a quick and professional manner.
o Project Manager must have experience managing Facilities related projects, which are associated with IT sites.
o Must be well versed in life cycle and project management methodologies.
o Must have experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress.
o Must be able to identify and mitigate risks. Bachelor's Degree; 10 years experience (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education) Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
